Wangchen Long, violin, has played in the Opera San Jose, Santa Cruz Symphony, San Jose Chamber Orchestra, West Bay Opera, Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, and performed at the Adriatic Chamber Music Festival in Bonefro, Italy. She has taught strings at Prunedale Christian Academy in addition to a small private studio, with students in San Jose Youth Symphony and San Jose Chamber Youth Orchestra. She had appeared as soloist with orchestras in PA, TX and CA, and studied violin with Daniel Kobialka, Heiichiro Ohyama, and Jenny Rudin. Violist Noriko Iwamoto is actively engaged in performing chamber music and teaching the next generation of violists and violinists. She is a graduate of Dominican University of California where she obtained her B.M. Noriko attributes her intuition in music making to her experiences at the Accademia Chigiana in Italy as well as her work with orchestras and ensembles in Japan, Mexico and the US. Her goal, of late, is to expose audiences to more viola repertoire. Russ Bartoli is a cellist and chamber musician. Since receiving a bachelor of music degree from the University of Southern California School of Music, he has given numerous performances as recitalist and chamber musician. He was a member of the Trio della Rosa and the Pro Musica String Quartet and currently plays with the Grace Note Chamber Players. Mr. Bartoli studied with Gabor Rejto, Laszlo Varga and Lawrence Lesser and is co-director of the Golden Gate Chamber Players. He is also current co-principal cellist of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony in San Francisco.

David Miller has played clarinet and saxophone in many ensembles and orchestras in the UK and in the Bay Area, and
enjoys a wide range of musical styles. When not playing music, he teaches at Stanford University. After graduating from
the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, Mark Schwartz has performed with several
local musical ensembles including the Sereno Saxophone Quartet (2010-), Los Gatos Saratoga Big Band (2004-), San Jose Wind Symphony (2003-2004), as well as several theater groups. Ted Brown is a retired mechanical engineer from NASA and other Bay Area companies who has played clarinet and saxophone in multiple Bay Area ensembles. Jerome
Nehemiah
plays clarinet and saxophone with multiple South Bay jazz bands and orchestras and smaller jazz and classical ensembles. He is a retired physician/surgeon and Covid advisor for the Silicon Valley Arts Coalition.

David Burkhart, trumpet Professor of trumpet at San Francisco Conservatory, David also taught at Stanford, San Jose
State, and Rubin Academy of Music, Jerusalem. A founding member of the Grammy-nominated Bay Brass, he served as
principal trumpet of Santa Fe Opera & the Sacramento, Oakland, San Jose, & Jerusalem Symphonies, as well as acting
principal of San Francisco Opera and San Diego Symphony. Dave’s recordings include Keeping Score: Mahler and a dozen albums with SF Symphony, A Night at the Opera with SF Opera, The Star Wars Trilogy with John Williams, and Robert Erickson’s Night Music with the Arch Ensemble. An award-winning author and historian, his most recent book, The Anchor Brewing Story, is an insider’s guide to the brewery where he worked for more than 30 years. Rick Leder,
trumpet A founding member of Altos Brass, Rick joined the Stockton Symphony & began as principal trumpet of the
West Bay Opera in late 2000s. He has soloed w/ Master Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra and Shasta Symphony, and has
performed w/San Francisco Opera, Opera San Jose, Sarasota Opera & Des Moines Metro Opera. A regular sub
w/regional & freelance orchestras, Rick loves playing chamber music—especially with Altos Brass. David B. Adams,
trumpet A versatile musician, David directs the Foothill Symphonic Winds, performs around the Bay Area and arranges
music for any sized brass ensemble. Retired from teaching after >40 years (Palo Alto schools & Foothill College), he
continues to adjudicate at CA music festivals. A music graduate of Boston University & San Jose State, he also completed a Northwestern University Music Fellowship. Brent Herhold, tuba A University of Michigan grad, Brent came to CA in 1969, working both as a tubist and in music retail. Brent has played: with both John Faddis and Louis Bellson; at SF’s Curran & Orpheum Theaters; at Davies Hall; and also at Skywalker Ranch. He has played at Golden Gate & Oakland Park Bands, and he is a regular at both Altos Brass and the Stanford Wind Symphony. Brian Holmes, horn Brian is retired from the SJSU Physics & Astronomy faculty where he taught physics of music. Having performed w/San Jose Symphony & Opera San Jose, he plays at Peninsula Symphony & Mission Chamber Orchestra. A prolific composer, Brian has received many commissions & published many scores, mostly for solo voice & for chorus. He has written >80 Christmas carols & is former president of the American Beethoven Society. John Monroe, trombone Having earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Cornell U. (1970), John performs on either trombone or euphonium at SF Brass Band, Stanford Trombone Quartet, Altos Brass & Brazzissimo. Retired from a long career at HP, John regularly attends Humboldt State’s Brass Chamber Music Workshop; he manages an almond orchard & he serves on both the Blue Diamond Growers & the Stanford Jazz Workshop boards.
