Fortnightly presents eight formal programs ("Formal
Meetings") and six informal programs ("Informal Meetings") each season. There
are two membership categories: Active and Associate. Active members may
perform at both Formal and Informal Meetings. Associate members may perform at
Informal Meetings, or simply may be non-performing music enthusiasts who wish
to support the Club. Formal Meetings, which are open to the general public,
are held at the Palo Alto Art Center auditorium. Informal Meetings are held in members' homes. |
 |
| The Club covers, for the benefit of members and the general public, costs related to advertising, maintenance of the Art Center's pianos, use of the auditorium, the printing of programs and refreshments. All members receive the annual Club Directory, announcements of all Club events, and the satisfaction of knowing they are supporting quality live performances in the South Bay Area. |
 |
| The Club welcomes new members, both performers and music enthusiasts. Prospective Active members must attend at least one Formal and one Informal meeting, be sponsored by an Active member of at least one year's standing, and audition at another Informal Meeting. Audition selections should be approximately 20 minutes in total length and should represent differing styles and as much musical breadth as possible. The dates and times for the Informal Meetings this 2012–2013 season are: |
